Philippa Wingate

Philippa has had a passion for horses since childhood, having both owned and worked with horses.

She spent many years working as a freelance groom and has experience working with everything from hunters to children’s ponies.  After suffering a riding accident, Philippa sought osteopathic treatment for her injuries, with great success.  This inspired to her become an osteopath herself, combining her passion of horses and helping others and she now enjoys treating both horses and humans.

Philippa trained at Swansea University where she obtained a first class Masters degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) before undertaking postgraduate training in animal osteopathy under the world renowned Stuart McGregor at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals where she obtained a PGCert in animal osteopathy.  Philippa is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) and the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT).  Philippa is also qualified in the use of Low Level Laser therapy for both humans and animals and also has an interest in rider rehabilitation.

Philippa has 2 horses and can be found hacking around the countryside or on the odd fun ride on her days off.  She also has a one eyed dog called Loki who, despite the name, is actually quite well behaved!
